It’s been over three years since we witnessed the incredible ad from Pepsi. The one where Kendall Jenner ended police brutality.
It’s awesome how she just gave the man a Pepsi and he calmed down. It really is that easy. The cop’s blood sugar was probably low and he just needed an extra kick.

In all seriousness, this ad was a huge miss from Pepsi and it might be one of the worst things I’ve ever seen on a tv screen. I’d watch every minute of the Human Centipede Trilogy before cringing my way through this commercial again.
Looking back on this ad a few years later, the same questions still apply: How did this ad ever get approved? How was there not at least one Pepsi exec who thought “Yeah there’s no way in hell we can air this”? And more importantly, is it possible that Kris Jenner created the commercial to make more buzz for the Kardashian family?
These are the questions I think about often.
And I mean, who the hell came up with the concept?? Yeah, a soda is going to end police brutality. What’s next? We’ll see a commercial where they hand a snickers to school shooter to calm him down. (I could actually see Snickers doing something like that. “You’re not you when you’re hungry.”)
Looking back, Pepsi was pretty tone deaf, and unfortunately, years after the release of this masterpiece, police brutality still happens quite regularly in our society.
What shocks me is that Kendall Jenner and her Pepsi products were nowhere to be found during the protests in Minneapolis earlier this month.
Perhaps she could have put some of those cops in their place.
